My voluptuous voice shattering the glass pane
Movement of our tiny ear hairs
A ghost limb catching the falling pen
Our dried tears
The unoccupied chair's creaking
Night's breath hanging heavy
A woman's orgasm flowing clearly
A cat suckling orphan ducklings
The rhythmic stink of the gully

Chadni, this is so powerful! I love the image of the ghost limb catching a pen. (Alveolae are little pits/depressions on the surface of a bodily organ!)
ReplyDeleteThanks Shuku! The image came from that scene from 'Theory of Everything,' some past reading on ghost limbs (popped up through research on animal care), a loved one who ... This line was in response to 'longing.' I have followed up on 'alveolae' on your blog post. [For some reason my browser is not allowing me to log in as author to respond here]
